Over a two-hour programme, the students showcased their skills in solos, duets and ensemble pieces, refined through years of training with both university instructors and international master teachers. The repertoire blended contemporary, improvisational and jazz-influenced works, each highlighting the creativity of the graduating class.
The concert’s programme was curated by Harangozó-Award-winning dancer and university lecturer Attila Kalmár (Head of the Department of Modern and Theatrical Dance) together with ballet master Tamás Csizmadia (year leader of the graduating class). They carefully selected pieces based on the students’ work in masterclasses and exchange programs at partner institutions both in Hungary and abroad.
Among the performers were Ruszlán Csaba Babácsi, Léna Bondor, Málna Bondor, Hanna Dorsich, Míra Éles, Gréta Gellért, Dorka Zsuzsanna Imely, Zorka Sára Kathona, Bence Kiricza, Árnika Krasznai, Rozi Panna Kótai, Emőke Klára Lászlóffy, Hanna Mészáros, Bora Mohácsi, Levente Nagy, Ábel Ónódy, and Csenge Szabó. Each displayed exceptional technical preparation and a distinct personal voice.
Leading the modern dance specialization were adjunct professor Noémi Kulcsár alongside master instructors Alíz Krausz and Zoltán Csere, who guided the students in molding both the choreographic vision and technical execution of their exam pieces. Renowned guest artists and choreographers such as Yvette Bozsik, Pál Frenák and Edit Domoszlai also contributed, each responsible for bringing a unique creative interpretation to at least one work.
More than a final examination, this concert served as the students’ professional debut before the dance community: the evening’s choreography and the sustained ovation affirmed that the graduates possess the technical prowess, expressive power and creative potential to embark on successful careers in the field.
