Boglárka Balogh, a 4th-year preparatory student at the Hungarian Dance University (HDU), earned second place in the junior category at the Baltic International Ballet Competition (IBBC) in Riga, held at the Dailes Theatre.

The Baltic International Ballet Competition (IBBC) has been organized since 2013. Its growing prestige is reflected by significant international interest and its membership in the International Federation of Ballet Competitions. The competition pursues several key objectives: discovering new talents, promoting dance education, preserving the traditions of classical ballet, supporting pedagogical development, and fostering international creative cooperation and cultural exchange.

The international jury was chaired by Aivars Leimanis, Artistic Director of the Latvian National Ballet, and included esteemed experts such as Rainer Krenstetter and Gilbert Mayer.

Bogi was accompanied to the competition by her mother and presented three variations: two classical pieces, prepared by her ballet master Eszter Pataki-Tóth, and one modern variation, choreographed and rehearsed with her by Zoltán Csere.

Warm congratulations to her and to her teachers!
