Five students from the Hungarian Dance University (HDU) took part in the 3rd Bologna Ballet Competition. The fact that all five HDU students won awards in the northern Italian city is a remarkable testament to their talent and the high standard of education at the university.
Based on the decision of the Arts Council, the following students took part in the Bologna competition, accompanied by Szilárd Macher, Director of Dózsa Imre Institute of Dance Arts:
Mira Jászovics (3rd year, ballet master: Eszter Pataki Tóth), Ábel Tokai (7th year, ballet master: Szilárd Macher), as well as graduating students Lili Németh, Clémence Rhode, and Sámuel Gribovszki (ballet masters: Eszter Kazinczy and Zoltán Oláh) took part in the competition. Piros Kocsaslijszki (7th year, ballet master: Márta Fodor-Molnár) also competed, taking advantage of her preparation for the Budapest Ballet Grand Prix, but travelled to the competition at her own expense.

It is a delightful success that all participating HDU students won awards.
Results:
Classical Ballet, Senior category:
1st Prize: Mira Jászovics
2nd Prize: Lili Németh and Ábel Tokai
3rd Prize: Piros Kocsaslijszki

In addition to the prizes, Ábel Tokai received an invitation to the Vienna Grand Prix ballet competition. Moreover, all the students were awarded valuable summer course and masterclass invitations, offered by the members of the jury — Aja Jung (competition director), Elisabetta Ceron, Eriberto Verardi, Enrico Morelli, Tibor Zsolt Elek, Konstantinos Rigos, Phillipe Kratz, Paolo Mangiola, and Attila Kozma.

On the days before and after the competition, the students also took part in classical ballet and contemporary dance workshops, where they had the opportunity to work with Ivette Rodriguez (Cuba), Gábor Keveházi, Eriberto Verardi (Verona), and Vangelus Bikoss (Athens), among others.
After the competition, Aja Jung spoke highly of the Hungarian Dance University, praising its consistently high-quality training that she has been following for years. She also invited the graduating classical ballet class to perform their final exam concert at the National Theatre of Novi Sad.
Congratulations to the students and their instructors!
