Between 17 and 20 April, five students of the Department of Dance and Rehearsal Management of the Hungarian Dance University (HDU) successfully represented Hungary and the university in the international cooperation called Beyond Front which connects dance higher education institutions of four countries including Poland, Slovenia, Croatia and Hungary.
The event was hosted in the Slovenian capital Ljubljana, in an extraordinary setting: the Stara mestna elektrarna, a former industrial monument that serves as an art space. HDU’s students were accompanied by Virág Sóthy, Adjunct Professor of Classical Ballet and Dr Anita Lanszki, Director of the Research Centre, who presented the teaching and research activities of the university.

The students performed in the special Stara mestna elektrarna Elektro Ljubljana industrial arts space, where they were watched by a prestigious professional audience. One of the highlights of the event was the opportunity for the HDU’s students to perform the choreography “What if…”, the result of a joint workshop, which was highly acclaimed by the professional audience. The choreography was created by Master Gabriella Kézér and students Janka Kőműves, Zsolt Kéri Viktor, Panna Pozsony, Anita Kis Eszter and Bianka Varga.
