The Hungarian Dance University has made a substantial donation to the initiative “It is good to be good!” run by the Hungarian Media Services Support and Trust Fund (MTVA).
Initiated by Hungarian Dance University’s Rector Professor Márta Fodor-Molnár, the university, which will celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2025, will donate the ticket revenue of this year’s first performance of the Nutcracker Crusade, staged by the students and masters of the university with great success every year with sold-out performances, to the construction of a new children’s hospice house dreamed up by the Baptist Charity Service.
The aim is to use the funds raised to build a unique children’s hospice in Central Europe for terminally ill children. The house featured in the news is helping families who are fighting the toughest battle of their lives. Located in Törökbálint near Budapest, the children’s hospice called Tábitha House has been run by the Baptist Charity Service since 2012. The institution provides special physical, spiritual and social care for terminally ill children and their relatives in a loving environment. At present, however, one facility is not enough to serve the needs of those who need to be helped.
Therefore this year, the charity programme of the public media named “It’s good to be good!” is raising fund for the Baptist Charity Service. The fundraising is aimed at building a new children’s hospice institution, unique in Central Europe. In connection with this, the Hungarian public television channel M1 news crew visited the university.
Anyone can contribute to this year’s fundraising by calling the donation line and donating 300 HUF, or by sending a text message to the telephone number 1355. At the same time, you can also buy personal items from well-known people on the “It’s good to be good!” website. Donations are also welcome at jonaklennijo@mtva.hu.
