As previously reported, two students of the Hungarian Dance University, Márton Balog and Boróka Kosaras, are taking part in the world’s most prestigious ballet competition, the Prix de Lausanne. Márton Balog is competing in the junior category, while Boróka Kosaras is currently working in the Partner School Choreographic Project. The students of the university have arrived in Switzerland, accompanied with ballet master Tamás Csizmadia, Head of Artistic Management.
The Prix de Lausanne is taking take place from February 1 to 8, 2026. Márton Balog is a sixth-year student at the Hungarian Dance University (his mentor is József Medvecz), while Boróka Kosaras is an eighth-year student (her mentor is Angéla Kövessy).

Boróka Kosaras had already begun her work in Lausanne earlier, arriving among the very first participants. The Prix de Lausanne Partner School Choreographic Project is an exciting programme that allows selected students from the event’s partner schools to learn and perform a unique, tailor-made choreography as part of the competition programme, created in collaboration with a renowned choreographer.
This exciting work awaits Boróka Kosaras. The choreography, created and staged in just a few days, will be presented to the audience at the Prix de Lausanne final and at the Rising Stars closing event.
More information about the programme can be found here.

Meanwhile, Marci Balog has also arrived in Switzerland, where his programme at the prestigious competition has begun. In the junior category group where he competes, 13 boys are participating, and four of them will perform the same classical variation at the competition as he will (Delibes Suite, boy variation).
We are cheering for the students of the Hungarian Dance University, and we will continue to provide updates on their participation on the university’s Facebook and Instagram page.
