“Thália Egerházi has successfully learned the La Luna solo at the Béjart Ballet Lausanne company. The rehearsal master of Maurice Béjart’s classic piece was Elizabet Ros, who expressed great satisfaction with the student of the Hungarian Dance University”, said Tamás Darai, who organized this exceptional opportunity for the graduating classical ballet student. Thália will perform the La Luna solo at the graduation performance at the Hungarian State Opera.

Thália Egerházi spent the entire week rehearsing in an excellent environment with the Béjart Ballet Lausanne company, which provided an outstanding learning opportunity.

„Everyone grew fond of her – this was specifically highlighted in connection with Thália, as well as the fact that she made significant progress,” said Tamás Darai. “I attended her final rehearsal on Saturday, recorded numerous videos, and took detailed notes on Elizabet’s instructions, since the eight-minute solo is not only sophisticated in its details but also musically very challenging,” added the acclaimed young choreographer.

The university student now faces a demanding period, as she must rehearse almost daily until the performance on May 30th in order to ensure that the graduation concert program of Katalin Volf’s final-year classical ballet class is as successful as possible. Tamás Darai will be able to assist her after the premiere of his work with the Győr Ballet Company, starting on May 8.

“Thália was very impressed by the company, the atmosphere, and the city itself, and in my opinion, she would be a great fit for the ensemble,” added Tamás Darai.

The last time this solo was taught in Hungary, it was by ballet artist and master teacher Krisztina Végh.
