Students of the Hungarian Dance University once again achieved great success at the 7th Vienna International Ballet Experience held in April. Six young students from the university participated in the event and earned two podium placements.
The prestigious VIBE event was hosted by the MuTh Theater in Vienna, where our students competed for three days. We are pleased that the competition provided an opportunity for more people to learn about the Hungarian Dance University – celebrating its 75th anniversary –, the high-quality professional work and education taking place at the institution.
The students including Boglárka Balogh (4th year), Márton Balog (5th year), Mira Jászovics (4th year), Hunhyeok Jeon (modern program), Réka Papp-Fekete (6th year), and Vencel Vida (4th year) were accompanied to the competition by master teachers József Medvecz and Eszter Tóth. For them, it was not only the experience of the event that was very important but also the process of preparation, gaining experience, and achieving results.
At the 7th VIBE International competition, the following results were achieved:
Réka Papp-Fekete
• 3rd place – Junior II category
Hunhyeok Jeon
• 2nd place – Contemporary Junior II category
In addition, several scholarships were awarded to students of the Hungarian Dance University:
Réka Papp-Fekete
She was invited to spend one month at the Tallinn School of Music and Ballet, and one week at the Palucca University of Dance in Dresden.
Márton Balog
He received the opportunity to spend one week at the English National Ballet School, two weeks at the Tallinn School of Music and Ballet, and one week at the Palucca University of Dance in Dresden.
