The First CEEPUS “Arts in Motion” Network Meeting at the Hungarian Dance University

On October 9, 2025, the Hungarian Dance University hosted the first CEEPUS “Arts in Motion” network meeting. The event was organized to strengthen international cooperation among higher education institutions in the fields of dance and performing arts, marking an important milestone in the activities of the newly established network.

The “Arts in Motion” network was founded in 2025 within the framework of the CEEPUS program. Its aim is to deepen professional connections, initiate joint research and educational projects, and create new mobility opportunities for dance students and teachers. Particular emphasis is placed on exploring the relationship between dance and health, as well as developing programs that promote mental well-being.

The following partner universities were represented at the meeting:

  • University of Salzburg, Department of Art, Music and Dance Studies (Austria) — Dr. Miriam Althammer
  • Alma Mater Europea, Dance Academy (Slovenia) — Nuša Krstič
  • Universitatea de Arte, Târgu Mureș, Faculty of Arts (Romania) — Bezsán Noémi
  • Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, Music and Dance Faculty (Slovakia) — Ivica Liszkayová
  • University of Novi Sad, Hungarian Language Teacher Training Faculty of Subotica (Serbia) — Major Lenke

During the meeting, participants shared their experiences and discussed the network’s future program plans. Preparations have begun for concrete collaborations, the organization of student and staff mobilities, as well as the extension of the project and the inclusion of new members.
