A lot of students from the Hungarian Dance University (HDU) received awards and special prizes at the Budapest Ballet Grand Prix organised in November 2023. Jury member Daria Klimentova offered the prize-winners the opportunity to participate in the International Ballet Masterclasses in Verona, where the distinguished Czech ballet master was one of the leaders of the course.
Of the winners of the Hungarian Dance University, Liza Szűcs, Evanthia Míra Nakos, Hiraku Saito and Bemedetta Carrara attended the International Ballet Masterclasses between 2 and 6 January 2024.
Evanthia Míra Nakos, who is pictured with Daria Klimentova, made a Facebook post about her days she spent in Italy on her social media page after the competition.
“It’s a pity that these five wonderful days are over… Thank you so much for this opportunity, I was able to meet so many new people and learn from new teachers. I thank Daria and the other masters for being able to learn so many new things. I hope I will have the opportunity to attend this course again. I would like to thank everyone, I had a great time in this wonderful city. I hope to meet everyone next time (maybe in Prague).”
