The delegation of the Hungarian Dance University (HDU) continued its trip in China with a visit to Shanghai. There, Nóra Nemes and Levente Baka, final-year students of the Folk Dance specialization, performed at the Hungarian Cultural Week organized by the Consulate General of Hungary in Shanghai.

The event was held in the Park Hotel, designed by László Hugyecz, and besides the performances, children could also take part in dance lessons.
During the visit, the Hungarian Dance University also signed a five-year cooperation agreement with the Shanghai Theater Academy. This agreement includes exchange programmes for students and teachers, as well as plans to create joint productions.

Dr. János Füle, the Consul for Culture and Education at the Consulate General of Hungary in Shanghai, played an important role in arranging the agreements.
With these new cooperation agreements, the Hungarian Dance University strengthened its partnerships with three Chinese institutions in 2025, helping to expand its international connections and support the internationalization of Hungarian higher education.
