Hungarian Dance University’s international summer intensive ballet course 2026 has opened with record-breaking interest. Now in its fourth year, the programme has attracted its highest number of participants so far, welcoming 110 dancers from around the world.
For the organisers, this milestone reflects the success of the programme’s continuous development. Year after year, the course has been refined and improved based on participants’ feedback, resulting in an increasingly attractive and internationally recognised summer training experience.

Participants travelled to the summer course from 28 countries, including New Zealand, Sweden, the United States, Cyprus and Russia, reflecting the programme’s growing international reputation.
This year, the students are once again working with outstanding Hungarian and international ballet masters, who share not only their technical expertise but also their artistic experience with the participants.
One of this year’s new features is the Repertoire class, led by Britt Juleen. During the sessions, participants are learning a group excerpt from the ballet La Sylphide, allowing them not only to become familiar with classical repertoire but also to experience the collaborative environment of a ballet company, working together, supporting one another and developing as an ensemble.
The pas de deux classes remain very popular, and this year’s course welcomed slightly more male participants than in previous years. We are very pleased with this progress, while continuing to work towards encouraging even more young male dancers to join our summer course in the future.
