Andrea P. Merlo receives prize at International Photography Awards

“Continuum”, a series by Andrea P. Merlo, ballet master, photographer, and a well-known photographer of Hungarian Dance University (HDU) events, took second place in the advertising-professional category at the International Photography Awards.

The International Photography Awards is one of the most prestigious international photography competitions, with over 12,000 entries from 115 countries. The entries are judged by an international panel of artists and professional photographers from around the world. They evaluate all work anonymously and purely on merit, without knowing the author’s name or connections.

“Only one photo in the series was made for Hungarian Dance University. All the others came from personal, independent projects. They were created freely, without any sponsorship or external commissions, driven only by a shared passion for art and movement. Even so, I felt this result was important for the University as well, since some of the artists involved were Hungarian Dance University students. I would also like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the wonderful artists who were, are, and will be part of my artistic journey, for their creativity and collaboration.”

Congratulations to our colleague Andrea P. Merlo on another prestigious award.
