It is a great honour and a profound responsibility for us to begin our work as the new Board of Trustees of the Foundation for the Hungarian Dance University.
First and foremost, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the members of the former Board of Trustees for their dedication and work over the past five years.
We strongly believe that the Hungarian Dance University is not merely an institution of higher education, but a unique artistic and professional community that has played a defining role in Hungarian culture for generations. Preserving and enriching its values, traditions, and accumulated knowledge is our shared responsibility.
As the Board of Trustees, we aim to create an approach built on partnership, dialogue, and mutual respect. We view the university’s leadership, faculty, staff, and students as key partners. We believe that the future of the institution can only be shaped responsibly by listening to one another and thinking together.
We consider it essential that our decisions are grounded in a thorough understanding of the university’s operations and the experience of its community. Therefore, in the coming period, we will focus on maintaining an active dialogue with all members of the university community. Relying on these shared insights and a realistic outlook, our goal is to make professionally sound, financially sustainable, and compassionate decisions that serve the long-term stability and best interests of HDU.
We recognize that the brief period ahead places a special responsibility on all of us. Our task is not only to support the daily operations of the university, but also to reflect together on its future and create a solid foundation for the years to come.
