Over 100 entries from 21 nations

By 2023.09.27.No Comments

Tuesday was a great day for the Organising Committee and the Budapest Ballet Grand Prix: by the afternoon, the number of entrants had organically grown to over 100, with Brazilian and Canadian entrants among the 21 participating nations. It is a fantastic success to have such a diverse and high-quality field for the BBGP from 21 to 24 November.

The organisers’ aim from the very beginning was to make the event, organised by the Hungarian Dance University, an institution with a 75-year-old history, a true meeting point for European and world dance. Now that there are entrants from the United States, Canada, China, South Korea, Japan, Australia and many other European countries, it is clear that this can be achieved.

Those who come, and indeed many will come to Budapest from many countries, will see what it is like when old meets new, tradition meets modernity.

Thanks to the confidence of the participants, the Organising Committee will do its utmost to ensure that the event, which will take place in magnificent venues (National Dance Theatre and Müpa Budapest), will be worthy of this and even greater confidence in 2023 and beyond.

As previously reported, the deadline for entries has been extended at the request of the partner institutions, so it is still possible to register for the BBGP.
